Formé Millinery’s will show her hat collection at the Drake Hotel in Chicago throughout the year at the High Tea Catwalk Fridays. She also expanded her hat collection to include a vintage baby hat line and a vintage headband line that are generating a lot of attention.

2009 Hatty Award winner Jenny Gerst-Pfanenstiel founded the hat company, Formé Millinery in Chicago. Jenny creates her hats by steaming and blocking felt and straw over antique wooden hat blocks.

“This preserves the past that might otherwise fade away. In addition to preserving the past, I love to reuse material by creating a new purpose for them; some materials date back to the early 1900’s.

“My goal is to have them look into the mirror and feel transformed, almost as if they are one with the creation of the hat.” “I really appreciate the craftsmanship that’s involved in a true couture hat and I’m trying to carry on that legacy.”
