Each person will learn the different types of wool for blocking. You will learn how to wet, steam and form the wool over a hat block to make a shape of a hat. Once dry, the hat will then be cut, hand sewn, wired and embellished. This will truly be a hat that you will wear with pride. All hat bodies, hat forms and wiring will be provided. During drying time, Jenny will demonstrate how to make different types of hand made embellishments. Though she will have other supplies with her, she would like all attendees to bring needles, thread and scissors. In addition, please bring any buttons, feathers and broaches you may have. Jenny will show you how you can use these to embellish your hats.
